This Privacy Policy explains how Omar Martín (“we”, “us”), an individual based in Spain — full identification in our Legal Notice — collects and uses your information when you use UnisonTime (the “Service”). We are the data controller. For any privacy question, contact us at support@unisontime.com.
What we collect
- Account data (only if you sign in): you can sign in with Google or with a one-time email link. We store your name and email address so that signing in again — by either method — reaches the same account and the same synced data. If the sign-in provider sends a profile-picture URL, we store that URL (not a copy of the photo) so the avatar next to your name can be shown; an email link has no picture. An email link also stores a single-use token that expires once used.
- Data you create in the tools: meetings, tasks, clocks, polls, time zones and the rest of what you type in. The Service works without an account; this data then stays on your device.
- Email about a paid plan (only if you ask): two doors, one purpose. If you opt in after signing in, or type your address on the waitlist, we store that address and when you asked, so we can tell you if a paid plan exists. See “Marketing communications” below.
- Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in (no third-party advertising or tracking cookies). Language is carried in the page URL, not a cookie. See our Cookie Policy.
- Usage analytics: we use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and collects aggregated metrics (e.g. page views) with no personal profiling or cross-site tracking.
Where your data is stored
By default, the data you create is stored locally in your browser. When you sign in, your saved teams and settings are also stored in our database (Neon, PostgreSQL, hosted in the European Union) so they sync across your devices. Shared poll data is stored on the server, expires after 30 days, and is then deleted.
Marketing communications
We will not email you for marketing purposes unless you explicitly agree. Signing in and accepting the prompt, or typing your address on the waitlist, is the same request: we store the address and the date, and use it for two things and no others — to let you know about paid features as they become available, and to warn you in advance of a change that affects you (a change in price or the Service closing down). We send no other marketing email. You can withdraw at any time from the toggle next to your account name, or by emailing us; a waitlist row is deleted outright when you ask.
Advance warning is the main reason we keep an address. Almost everything you create here is stored in your browser, under this web address, so if the Service ever closes and the notice does not reach you, there is nothing left to act on. For that reason we also write to registered users about a closure or a price change even without marketing consent: that is a service message about your own data, not marketing, and it is not something you can be opted out of while you still hold an account.
How we use your data
To provide and sync the Service, to let you know about paid features as they become available (only as described in “Marketing communications” above), to give advance notice if the Service is going to close or change what it costs, to reply when you write to us, and to keep the Service secure and working. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Legal bases (GDPR)
We process account and planner data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service) and for our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure and improving it. We process marketing email data solely on the basis of your freely given, specific consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time without affecting the Service itself. We warn registered users about a closure or a price change on the basis of our legitimate interest in giving you time to take your data with you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — a message we consider you would expect, and one you would lose more by not receiving than by receiving.
Sharing & processors
We share data only with the providers that run the Service on our behalf: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), Google for sign-in, and Resend, which delivers the emails we send — the sign-in links, any reply to your feedback, and a closure or price notice if one is ever needed. Each processes data under its own agreement and policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your data, and you may object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Most of your data never reaches us at all, and you do not need to ask us for it: you can download all of it yourself, without an account, from Your data. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise any right, email support@unisontime.com.
Retention
Poll data is deleted after 30 days. Account and synced data is kept until you delete it or ask us to delete your account, after which it is removed within a reasonable period. Marketing consent (or its withdrawal) is kept for as long as your account exists, so we can honor your current preference and demonstrate compliance. A waiting-list entry is kept until you ask us to remove it, or until the Service closes — whichever comes first. If the Service closes, everything above is deleted once the notice period has run.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above when we do.
